The JTP(B) /2JTP(B) series mine hoist is a robust and reliable piece of mining equipment designed for vertical and inclined transportation of ores, coal, personnel, and materials in coal, metal, and non-metallic mines. The JTP/2JTP mine hoist is the standard model of the traditional single-drum (JTP) and double-drum (2JTP) configurations. Designed specifically for small and medium-sized mines, it offers stable mechanical performance and low maintenance costs. Equipped with a mechanical braking system, it is suitable for hoisting materials such as coal and ore under medium to low loads. With flexible installation options, it provides an economical and practical hoisting solution for mines.

JTP(B) Mine Hoist Core Technical Features

1. High-Efficiency Transmission System

  • Variable Frequency Speed Control Drive: The entire series adopts AC variable frequency motors + PLC control, achieving stepless speed regulation, smooth start/braking, and reduced mechanical shock.
  • Two-Stage Helical Gear Reducer:Transmission efficiency exceeds 96%, low noise, high torque, suitable for heavy-load and frequent start-stop conditions.
  • Dual Drum Synchronous Control (2JTP/2JTPB):Closed-loop PID algorithm ensures synchronous operation of both drums, preventing wire rope skewing.

2. Intelligent Control

  • Fully Automatic Operation:Features automatic lifting, deceleration point identification, and position correction functions, supporting remote monitoring (optional).
  • Fault Self-Diagnosis:Real-time monitoring of motor temperature, bearing vibration, and brake status; automatic alarm or shutdown in case of abnormalities.

3. Safety Protection System

  • Redundant Braking Design:Main brake (hydraulic disc) + auxiliary brake (electromagnetic power failure brake) + emergency brake (mechanical), providing triple protection.
  • Explosion-proof Certification (JTPB/2JTPB):Motors and control boxes meet explosion-proof standards, suitable for gas outburst mines.

Structures & Working Principle

JTP Mine Hoist Structure

  • Main Spindle Assembly: Includes an integral or split drum, main shaft, hub, and brake disc. The drum is welded from high-strength steel plate with a rope groove and plastic or wooden lining to ensure neat rope arrangement and resistance to deformation.
  • Reducer: Mostly a two-stage gear reducer (parallel shaft or planetary gear), providing high input speed and low output speed with high torque. Some models support gear replacement to extend service life.
  • Electric Motor: Optional ordinary wound-rotor or explosion-proof (JTPB) type, compatible with non-explosion-proof or explosion-proof electrical control systems.
  • Hydraulic Disc Brake: Employs a rear-mounted cylinder design to prevent oil contamination of the brake disc; disc spring assembly provides braking force, and hydraulic release achieves both working and safety braking.
  • Hydraulic Power Station: Provides stable pressure oil and features proportional pressure regulation, two-stage braking, and dual-pump redundancy to ensure braking reliability.
  • Depth Indicator: A gate-style or digital indicator that shows the container position and is equipped with overwind protection and deceleration signal triggering functions. Couplings: Including flexible pin couplings and gear couplings, used for shock absorption and misalignment compensation.
  • Control Panel and Electrical Control System: Supports resistance speed regulation, frequency conversion speed regulation, or PLC control, and features intelligent functions such as automatic/semi-automatic operation, fault diagnosis, and network interface.

  • Double Drum Structure (2JTP/B only): Equipped with a rope-adjusting clutch (manual or hydraulic gear type) to allow independent rope adjustment for both drums, accommodating different wire rope lengths.

JTP(B) Mine Hoist Working Principle
When the motor starts, its rotation transmits power through the low-speed coupling to the high-speed shaft of the reducer. After two stages of gear reduction, the driven shaft delivers the adjusted speed and torque to the main shaft assembly via the gear coupling. By reversing the motor’s rotation, the wire rope can be wound onto or released from the drum, enabling the periodic upward and downward motion of the conveyance (e.g., cage or skip) in the mine shaft.
